My husband used to take care of
all the car stuff. Once he became my ex husband then it
was on me to do it myself. It was very obvious when I would
bring my car in for work that I know nothing about how a
car runs. My repair bills were always very high. I think
some of the mechanics knew I was "a single, ill-informed"
women & took advantage of it. Then a friend told me about
Bob's Motor Workshop a few years back & I have been taking
my car there ever since. They take the time to explain things
to me & to give me options. It is very nice to have
someone that I can trust & I know is honest & hard
working & won't take advantage of me.
Thank you Bob & Al!

A friend with another Volkswagen
recommended Bob's when the dealer told me that my Jetta
needed some pricey overhauls. Mike and team tookcare of
me like an old friend, with intellect, fairness and wit.
And the cost was something like 60% of what the dealer wanted!
that was a few years ago now and I won't take my vehicles
anywhere else for non-warranty work! Bob and his team make
the extra effort to know the latest in technology and apply
real thought and insight to understand the nature of a problem
before coming up with an action plan to fix it. These guys
love cars and it shows!

I have been
a customer of Bob's
Motor
Worksop since Mikes dad opened it a very long time ago.
Now that Mike has taken over his dad's business, I can't
think of a better place to have your car serviced. Mike
and his staff are professional, very knowledgable, reliable
and they care for their customers concerns with their vehicles.
I know that no matter what the problem is with your car,
they can fix it. Please consider going to Bob's Motor Workshop,
you will be very happy that you did. I won't go anywhere
else. Sue Stoico-LePouttre

I
went to Bob Motorworks to have my car fixed, right at Christmas
time, as we all know Money is tight more so at that time.
He went thru a thorough checkup to make sure that i would
not have to pay too much by working oin the wrong thing.
I will stay a customer of his Mike Bonnell as long as i
own a car, and encourage all to do so.

I initially went to Bob?s Motor Workshop for an extemely
small job, removing my license plate after coming from the
Registry of Motor Vehicles. I saw a man (Mike) working on
a woman?s car outside and asked him if he could help me.
He said nothing and within minutes he came over to my car
and loosened the plate and said no charge. I couldn?t believe
that he would just help me and not charge me. After recieveing
a reject sticker I awarded Bob's the repairs ... front brake,
wheel bearing and surprizing to me, they were able to fix
the computer in my AIR BAG SYSTEM. I got my sticker and
was very happy with the price and services provided by Bob'
s Motor Workshop.

I just want to say that I had my car fixed at Bob's
Motor Workshop and I have to say that the owner is a wonderful
person, cares about his customers and does a great job at
making you feel safe and secure in your vehicle. I was a
customer of his Dad's many years ago and to have his son
taking care of my car now is a great honor. Please, if you
have any problems with your car or just maintenance, call
Mike, tell him Sue sent you....... you won't be sorry

Thanks
for getting my car fixed last week ... it runs great ...
257K miles, but drives like I just drove it off the lot
... the noise in the wheels is gone, so replacing the wheel
bearings did the trick !!!! :-)

My daughter
was getting ready to head off
on a 750 mile trip to college
when her car started making
an unusual noise. Mike was able
to squeeze her car in that day
and replaced the CV joints allowing
her to safely make her trip.
Since then, Bob's Motor Shop
has been my repair place of
choice in the Milford area.

Mike, You did a fantastic job, and
I can't thank you enough. The car was a wreck (literally),
and you managed to put it back on the road in just a couple
of days with no expensive replacements. . I think I owe
you a good review I am going to post it on your website
so people will know how good you are. Thanks again

Bob's motor
workshop is the best, the service
is great and the mechanics are
pleasant and professional.
I would highly
recommend Bob's motor workshop.
*
We've been taking our cars
to Bob's Motor Workshop for
years and Mike has been a great
mechanic for us. Expert, reasonable
- you can trust him - we highly
recommend Bob's

I came to Mike when I was facing
some very expensive repairs. I bought a 2009 Toyota Prius
from a salvage yard, and the car was fixed in a body shop.
Everything worked great, but after 200 miles I got a bunch
of rather serious problems including overheating and leaking
transaxle. The body shop and their sister diagnostics shop
gave up, and I had to go to Toyota dealership. Toyota mechanics
told me that I had to replace a transaxle ($3500) and two
engine
wiring harnesses ($3800). So I needed someone really good,
knowledgeable, honest, and also someone having guts to take
a tough case. I feel very fortunate that I came to Mike
(he was on the list of certified hybrid master technicians).
He managed to diagnose the real problems (bad connector
and some body shop mistakes) and got my car fixed in less
than a week. Also, Mike didn't mind working with used parts.
For example, he rewired a connector taken from a used
engine
harness which I bought on eBay for $50 (costs $800 new).
So it turned out that a great guy with strong work ethics
from a family-operated shop can make so much more than the
highway robbers from Toyota dealership - something to think
about

Mike Bonnell took over the business
from his Dad, Bob a number of years ago. Mike grew up in
the business and he learned it well. He often takes on the
tougher diagnostic jobs that other mechanics in town can't
handle. I stumbled onto him out of desperation about 7 years
ago when I had a car with multiple problems that the dealerships
could not diagnose and haven't gone anywhere else since.
I like that he sends me an e-mail detailing the diagnosis
and cost of my repairs. His e-mail is: mike@bobsmotorworkshop.com

I've been using BMWS for over 10 years.
In that time, he has seen at least 15 different vehicles
of mine. From late models to antique. All work done has
been to my satisfaction. I highly recommend this shop.
*
I have also gone to Mike under duress
from other SO CALLED repair garages. He was able to diagnose
and repair my problem, which was to three other places,
within a day or two. He has all the Up to date equipment
needed to repair my car, which the others did not. I was
impressed with his hand held Lab Scope :) This guy really
is a Doctor, and did not have a problem paying the 500 dollar
bill.
*
Owner/operator Mike Bonnell has seen
my cars for over 10 years. He takes on the difficult jobs
that other garages won't touch. Whether its one of my 30yr
old antiques or my late model daily driver, he gets the
job done. If something is amiss after the job, he makes
it right immediately. Its nice to deal with someone who
is not intimidated by non-electronic, non-computer-controlled
cars. "Horrors! Its a carburetor! What do I do? How does
it work? Where's the diagnostic connector?" So many times
this has happened with other repair shops, yet Mike takes
the job and completes it well. Highly recommended!
*
My Car was an Emissions reject. Was
to another garage and failed three more times. A friend
mentioned Mike and He had it repaired in one day. Pleasant
to work with. Has so many certifications on the wall in
his office, he is running out of wall space. Going to use
him again even though a am a few towns away. Highly recommend
to others. Good day.
*
I have been to many other garages in
the past, but have finally found a place where I feel comfortable
and confident about leaving my car to be repaired. I am
extremely satisfied with the quality of workmanship and
quickness/turnaround of Mike and his employees. But what
makes Mike really stand out (to me) as a great human being
is his participation in community events and programs which
benefit the less fortunate. I highly recommend Mike/Bob's
Motor workshop for both his professional and personal ethics.
*
I've been a customer's of Mike's for over
20 years. I appreciate his honesty and technical ability.
He determines the problem, does the repairs right the first
time, and charges fairly for his services. I've had many
cars over that time, and he's given me his honest opinion
of the condition of the car. Hey, Mike, I want to keep this
one for another 2 years, what do you think? Well, he says,
I wouldn't put too much more money into this one, you might
get one more year out of it. You can't ask much more than
that. An he's a real computer guy, he's been taking appointments
over email for years now. That's more convenient for me
and I appreciate his flexibility with this. Go to Mike for
your repairs, you'll be happy with the Service and Repairs.

My wife and I have taken our cars to Bob's
Motor Workshop for years. We have had some older, high mileage
cars and newer cars. I have found Mike, the current owner
who took over the business from his father, to be a mechanic
with honesty and integrity as well has great skill. We have
been very satisfied with the repairs he has performed over
the years. When there has been an unexpected service need
due to a breakdown, Mike has been very responsive and fixed
the car quickly. When we've brought older cars in for work,
Mike has also told us when it is not worth spending the
money on repairs and time to look for a new car. I find
this refreshing in a day when many people want to sell you
goods and services that you may not need. But at the same
time he keeps and eye out for when other services may be
needed. For example during a recent visit for a tune-up,
Mike checked the car over and suggested that the brakes
had another 15K miles on them before they would need to
be replaced. He didn't try to sell us a brake job right
then but gave us something to plan for in the future. Mike
makes good use of technology with state of the art diagnostic
equipment and access information specific to a given make/model
so he has the same recommended service information that
the dealerships have. And I've found Mike's prices to be
fair over the years. I have recommended Bob's Motor Workshop
to many people over the years.

Hard Working, Honest and Reliable
. I usually drop off early AM before they arrive ... I pick
up LATE after they close ... I am Updated during the day
via email or by phone if there is a serious issue. I leave
a blank check for him to fill out ... I have been doing
this for years. Who do YOU leave with a blank check for
the Establishment to fill out ...??? They take that EXTRA
step to ensure quality work at a fair price. Check them
out.

Honesty, Reliability ,Reasonable Pricing,
Technical excellence and Trust. The almost lost art of good
service found again. This has been my experience with Mike
at Bob's Motor Workshop for a long, long time. When someone
asks " do you know a good mechanic in the area ? " I am
happy to tell them about Bob's. Recommend them in a heartbeat.
Good service, the problem is fixed, the price is fair and
you're on the road again ! I've had no complaints in over
20 years of being a customer. During that time I've brought
in my share of "clunkers and Junkers" and Mike managed to
breathe life back into them and keep 'em running for a while
more. You'll be putting your car in good hands at Bob's
*
I have been bringing my car to BMWS for
nearly ten years now and will continue to until either Mike
retires or I'm no longer able to drive! I've heard horror
stories from other people telling me how they've had to
bring their car to their mechanic repeatedly to get the
same problem fixed. Not so with Bob's Motor Workshop. They
fix it right the first time! And if by chance something
does go wrong, they will stand behind their work. I really
can't say enough nice things about Bob's Motor Workshop
except that if you're looking for a mechanic who is totally
professional, helpful, understanding, patient, talented,
shows an amount of respect for both his customers and their
cars that is unparalleled, and has a work ethic that is
without peer, you have found him! I live four towns away
(13 miles) and could bring my car to someone closer, but
I refuse to let anyone else touch my car because I know
that I'm in the best hands at Bob's Motor Workshop.
*
I have been to them all in town bouncing
around until I found Mike - A LOT of experience at such
a young age. I will never see another garage again. Happy
with there operation and facilities. Thanx RC
*
I've had the pleasure of knowing and trusting
Mike and the staff at Bob's Motor Workshop for over 20 years.
I've never had to return my vehicle to them for the same
problem. I can drop my vehicle off in the morning, early,
and it's always ready when I get out of work. I have referred
many people to Bob's Motor Workshop and will continue to
do so. Thanks guys for a job well done.
*
I have had the pleasure of knowing mike
for 10 years and have to tell you that he is the poster
child for the auto repair industry. I have the pleasure
of being his local counterman for auto parts and service.
I know what kind of ethics he has and how he really does
insist on quality, honesty and integrity. I know allot of
mechanics and I truly will say that his garage is one of
the most respected in the business!!! Give him a try and
you will not be disappointed. P.S. although he does not
know it My mother will not go any where else!!!!

I found Bob's Motor Works through cartalk.com
and found the reviews to be very true. Mike Bonnell is very
honest, friendly and fair. I would (and will) recommend
him to anyone.
*
So I am a researcher by profession - and
having just moved to the area needed a good mechanic when
my 2000 Infiniti 1-30's temperature gauge stopped working
(or it worked too well -, as it appeared my car was always
overheating). I checked out some reviews on Mike and other
nearby shops on cartalk.com. I made the journey from Rhode
Island to see mike at BMW after having a HORRIBLE experience
with my local Infiniti dealer service shop. Mike was very
kind - remembered my name - provided prompt follow up on
what was wrong with my car. His prices are fair - given
what you'll pay at Infiniti. If you have a newer car- don't
be freaked out by the muscle cars around Mike's shop. My
car looked like a fish out of sea - but the service was
IMPRESSIVE. I'll be sure to take my car back to mike. Finally
a repair shop I can trust!
*
Bob's Motor Workshop is not necessarily
the "cheapest fix" around, bit they are VERY trustworthy
and stand behind their service and repair. Mike and Albert
know the auto repair business very well and are willing
to give recommendations to other specialists if they feel
they are not qualified to do the repair ( Very Rare). I
have had about 5 different vehicles repaired by Bob's over
the past 12 years and have never been disappointed. This
is one place you can trust.
*
Very honest shop. I needed new wheel bearings
on my 1999 Subaru. To make a long story short - although
the shop wasn't able to do the repair do to a weird technical
aspect (Subaru's fault, not the shop's), they were honest
enough to admit it and not charge for the diagnostics. Will
definitely go back the next time I need something and would
recommend BMWS to others.
*
Mike took over for his dad, Bob. He has
become almost a friend as he is a pleasure to work with
- where getting you car fixed is pleasurable at all. He
won't do more than you need or want, and will do it quick
and right - or he will make it right.
*
What more can you ask for in auto repair?
Professional yet friendly, honest, fair, accurate, great
technical ability along with years of good old fashion know
how. Bob's Motor Workshop has it all. It does not get any
better than that.
*
I have been a customer of Bob\'s Motor Workshop for quite
some time. I would not trust anyone else with servicing
my vehicle. It is difficult to find honest mechanics and
Mike is someone who can be trusted to get the job done right.
After a situation where I thought my brakes were going to
fail, I called Mike and not only did he take me in right
away, within a few hours my car was fixed. Thank you!
